    The Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park () is the 40th most important park in France and the 6th in the Rhône-Alpes region. The Park’s objective is to provide visitors with high quality tourist facilities, and above all letting them discover the local territory and its heritage and landscapes, giving priority to the inter-seasons and spreading visitors throughout the whole area, right into the deepest valleys.

    # Exhibitions to discover:
    Moulin de Mandy - Ardèche
    The Nature Park organises exhibitions such as the ones at the Moulin de Mandy in Pranles () near Privas.
    The Park takes part to the restoration of buildings such as the former spinning mill at the Ecomusée de Chirols () or the Maison du Gerboul () in Thines where the visitors can find books and local products.

    # Walk in the Park:

    PNR - ArdècheRegarding hiking, walks are perfect for families who can discover in a playful and original way the cultural heritage of the Monts d’Ardèche for less than half-a-day or longer tracks. Theme-based walks deal with volcanism, protestantism or the chestnut in Ardèche ().

    # Accommodation with the label “Accueil du Parc”:

    In the heart of a chestnut tree grove or by a river, each of the 50 self-catering accommodation or guesthouses are a genuine small paradise. Converted old barns, former silk factories, the owners managed to turn them into a friendly place. Walks, bathing, discovery of the fauna and flora are part of the programme, without forgetting the products from the farm, the orchard or from the garden are part of the menu.

    # The chestnut festivals : the "Castagnades d'Automne":

    Castagnades - Ardèche

    Each year in Autumn, the Ardèche celebrates the chestnut by organising chestnut festivals, called "Castagnades", all through the county.
    Do not miss it!
