For over a quarter of a century, 900 animals belonging to 120 different species have lived in the 80 ha valleys of the Peaugres Safari park ().

Calmly installed in his vehicle (the windows must be closed), the visitor will visit lions, bears, bison, hippos… and then be able to walk in complete safety to meet other park dwellers such as giraffes, seals, snakes, monkeys and antelopes, not forgetting the fawns.

Allow 3-4 hours to traverse the entire park.
Refreshments available on site (snack, picnic areas)

    When biological rhymes with playful:
The 5 'animal tracks' cabins in the safari transmit biological knowledge to children without them having the impression of learning. From the sounds cabin to the droppings cabin, through the skins, paws or smells cabins, everything is done to know how to distinguish the cry of the cheetah from that of the gibbon or again, even to know how to identify mysterious odours. In brief, the animal worlds will no longer hold any secrets for the visitor.

The European threatened species breeding programme (EEP):
The aim of the EEP is to maintain the numbers of rare species at a level allowing their genetic characteristics to be safeguarded, with, for some, the hope of an eventual reintroduction into the natural environment. The Peaugres Safari Park () is thus committed to comply with the requirements concerning the housing, feeding and care given to the animals and also agrees to take part in research and conservation programmes. So, it is currently taking part in 22 EEPs such as, for example, the addax antelope, the white rhinoceros, the Vietnamese deer, Przewalski's horse or the jackass penguin.

    The elephant house:
This new building will in future accommodate the female elephants. Open to the public, it will allow the medical training of the elephants to be watched, a privileged moment in the presence of the vet and animal handlers, using the 'protected contact' method, a method based on the voluntary participation of the animal. Several times a day, the handler calls the animal with just voice and the stick to guide it!

    News 2011 :

    # Creation of a learning and play centre dedicated to the fearsome "killing machines", the cats:
New observation points, interactive terminals and games set the rhythm for this journey into this new space that offers new events such as the cheetah race.

    # Creation of the “gitaki” European biodiversity zone:
Because the species that surround us every day are too often also those that we know least about, the safari () is creating a unique, original 5000 m2 play area mingling knowledge and amusement.
Follow squirrels in acrobatic passages, traverse cabins linked together by footbridges and nets, visit the foxes den, the beaver's lodge, or learn the actions that will allow you to accommodate hedgehogs and birds in your garden, these are the new adventures offered in 2011.
