    # L'Ecole du Vent 'The Wind School', in Saint-Clément.

L'Ecole du Vent 'The Wind School', in Saint-Clément - Ardèche
The little village of St Clément perched on the edge of the Ardeche mountains volcanic plateau now has a unique and unprecedented place: “the Wind School” ().

This untypical small commune, known for its basalt flows and its breathtaking view over the Boutières, is also characterized by being crossed by all the winds. The Wind School () is installed in the heart of the village, in a restored ruined house. Inside and outside, the architecture is remarkable: traditional frame in the shape of an upturned boat, suspended platform, vaults.

The playfully original museum () display allows you to discover the formation of the winds, and the relationship between winds and landscapes. Through the spaces, you understand how to construct or live with the wind, and discover bird flight. A glass cage with a blower describes the formation of snowdrifts, a flight simulator gives vertigo and a novel bicycle allows you to test your ability to fly with your own wings.

The Wind School () is open throughout the year, whether it’s blowing or snowing, butplease call before coming, just in case!
